Guest Book

We have stayed at the cottage a number of times now and love it! The location is a fantastic base to be able to explore such a great part of Wales. We love that the cottage has access to the town of Blaenau, but that it's very much in the countryside and has access to lovely mountain walks from the door without having to drive anywhere. The house itself is really well equipped for those wanting to cook for themselves and have cosy evenings in with a fire and film or book. The bedrooms are comfortable and the whole house is very homely in feel with lovely decorations and attention to detail. We were able to enjoy both the front and the back garden. The information we were sent before arrival was really helpful and detailed, sharing local tips as well as practical advice and instructions about the house. We will be returning for more retreats from London as this really is a unique find and great value for money!

Our week long stay at this pretty, cosy cottage was perfect. We fell asleep in front of the hot stove and woke to a view of snow on the mountains. The location was great and we enjoyed walking, mountain biking, riding, climbing castle turrets and running on the beach. All five of us want to go back!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was warm, homely, well equipped and the views are incredible! The local area has an abundance of beautiful scenery/beaches and lots to do with children. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed in the cottage when our son was 5 months old. It was a fantastic getaway from our regular routine and exciting to explore the local area. We'd love to come back when our son is older.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The cottage itself is beautifully presented and has a really homely atmosphere. The cottage was easy to find with our SatNav too. On our first night we looked through the book of recommendations left in the living room, from which we based several of our days out. The walk from the cottage door up to the lake and abandoned mining village was particularly beautiful - we could even see the sea from the top!

Most enjoyable time in a comfortable and cosy cottage with a lovely view of Snowdonia. There were plenty of things to do from local walks to lots of different amenities within a short drive. The well equipped cottage was good value for money with lots of local information and the booking experience was straightforward.

I had a very peaceful and undisturbed time at this cottage - a great place for a silent retreat. The location of the cottage is quiet, but not too secluded, with shops only a few minutes away. The kitchen was well equipped and the furniture comfortable. A real place to rest and read a good book in front of the fire. I hope to return!

A very well equipped, beautiful and cosy cottage with a great view. Very reasonably priced. The central location means you can access anything in the National park if you don't mind driving. There are also lots of things to do locally. Plenty of walks and also the steam railway. The town feels "real" and not too touristy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and were very impressed with how well equipped the kitchen is. We usually have to bring some equipment with us to self-catering cottages but this wasn't necessary at Snowdonia Cottage Retreat. The rest of the cottage was lovely as well with wonderful views of the Moelwyn mountains. It was good value for money especially for a family of 4 or 5. There were lots of great suggestions for things to do in the visitors' information folder, some of which we did such as travelling on the Ffestiniog steam railway from Blaenau Ffestiniog to Tan y Bwlch and then having a lovely woodland walk.
